How to install the printer Manually using the Windows XP native driver.

 

1. Click Start> Control Panel

2. In Control Panel Click Printers and Other Hardware

3. In this window Select Add a Printer.

4. Select Local Printer attached to this computer, then Next

(Don’t Select Automatically Detect?)

5. Select LPT1 from the port list, then Next.

6. Select Compaq from the Manufacturer List then Highlight Compaq IJ1200 Inkjet Printer, click Next.

7. Follow the prompt to Install the printer.

 

Once the Printer is fully installed you can change the Port setting from the Printer Properties, to do so use the steps listed:

1. Right Click the Printer>Properties.

2. Select Ports.

3. Choose/Select the Ports that you want to use (may be a USB or LPT2)

4. Click Apply then OK
