Also you may receive an error message which says the following.
“Faulting application moviemk.exe, version 2.1.4026.0, faulting module qedit.dll, version 6.5.2600.2180, fault address 0x0001b2af.” While launching Windows Movie Maker.” (XP)
Check the error signature and if it is related to qedit.dll, Follow the steps below.
1. Start > Run
2. regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\qedit.dll -u
3. Press OK .
4. Open Windows Movie Maker and error should not appear again.
